I just started tying last week, but I would still like to be in, if that's okay. Hopefully with 12 different people, I should get some good feedback. The March date should definately be do-able if my wife doesn't crack me over the head with my vise. I have been, let say, slightly obsessed since I started!

Oneidog,
I just started tying a few years ago so I can vividly rember the learning curve at the vise. A Ray's Fly is a great sand eel pattern when tied sparse and is a great fly to tie for a beginner (you can tie it in bendback for a variation). Just a suggestion if you are thinking of what to tie. Good luck.

I'll do this one also.
I'm not sure it's a sand eel, but I'm tying a black floating eel.

Feb 2004 SAND EEL Swap
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the sign up list for the SAND EEL Swap. So, this is for your Favorite pattern as long as it’s supposed to be a sand eel. They are usually an early bait to show.
Due date will be March 15 to keep consistent with the swap dates from the last few months. When completed please PM me to get my mailing information. FAQ thread applies.
If you can, take pic’s of your flies in various stages of production and upload them into the pattern library, we could use a few good sand eels!
Also, no pressure, but if you like, throw in an extra for a “swap fly giveaway” like we did with the hardtail flies.
Keep in mind there will be several swaps this month, so if you enter a few please watch the due dates, they can be a lot of work!
So….get to tying!!
SPCantwell - Page's sand eel

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Toofly will not be able to participate
in this swap. I can either mail everyone one of their flies back when i
ship out the boxes, or i could put together another giveaway package.
Any suggestions???
The only person i am waiting to hear from is FishCT.

Fly's look great guy's! Just wanted to let everyone know that the first stripers are starting to be caught at Graveling Point in Jersey. They are doing best at the very end of the outgoing tide. The water temp has been a roller coaster but looks like this week it should be back up again. Anyone who wants to get an early jump start on the season, let me know.
