What a group we had to brave the cold to try their luck on a lake we were all unfamiliar with. Sam and I consulted a pond map and picked a likely spot with sight and easy walking distance of the boat ramp. It turned out that Reel-Timer Jim L was already out there. Heck with the fishing the real start of the day was Jim's awesome venision stew. Over the day we had about 12 people show up to try their luck. The yellow and white perch kept us hopping checking on tripped flags with few fish on them. Only Sam had the knack of hooking the smaller perch. Heck most of our shiners were bigger than some baitboy's perch.--125-3
Surprise of the morning as a very nice brown trout, Shane's???. Great venison sausages, pheasant sausages, and goose sandwiches.
My last flag of the day was just after the group reached the ramp for the trip home...Expected a perch but had the line pulled out of my hands, felt like a real nice fish, too bad I lost it as messed with removing gloves. Hope all that came will chip in their insights on the day.
..it was a pleasure to meet you fellows and witness the Parson's Perch Project first hand...let's do it again...next venture- stuffed quahogs...

I had a great time, good to meet everyone. As always, the kitchin was hoping. 4 or 5 animals represented in some form of sausage or stew. Enough flags to keep us busy. The group picture is from later in the day so not everyone is in the pic. Sam wasn;t the only one pulling in Monster perch, check out these monsters!!

Nice meeting the guys. Thanks for the friendly RT welcome and the use of
a sharp new auger to pop through the 12" ice.

Great day for sure :)
Best part for me was watching Shane chasing down the Styrofoam lid to the bait bucket as it blew across the ice... of course the actual catching was done by luke's dog :D
Here are a pic of Shaun with his Brown and one of those monster Yellow Perch I was pulling up left and right. Did anyone get a shot of one of the White Perch?

Nah, same method. Was actually one of the first flags to go up for me. About 8am or so. Medium shiner on a tip-up fished about 3 feet off the bottom in 20ft of water.
