Thanks KMcFly. I'm actually on that trip. I'll call him anyway after we get back and see if he tells the truth!

Call Pat Abate, Rivers End Tackle, Old Saybrook, Ct. I haven't talked to him but I know he was going down with a group two weeks ago.

How are you guys getting down there? I'm heading down there Saturday as well-not at Greypoint though. Shoot me an email and I can tell you a few things i've learned about Greaypoint-mostly very good.

Don't know if you've ever been but the flats right in front of the lodge are some of the best. Caught my biggest bone ever right there...32". I didn't get the girth measurment on him so I don't know his exact weight but we guessed it at 12-13lbls. Ask for a day of permit fishing too...there are plenty of them around.

Good luck and give us a report upon your return.

Thanks Lucky. That sounds like quite a fish! We were hoping all the the stories about the good fishing right out the front door were true.

They are. Get up early (before sunrise) and stay out till sunset for tailers. You can walk forever to the left out of Grey's Point or take one of their canoe's across the way and fish a variety of differnt flats...even work your way out to some ocean flats that are also productive. Fish are in good supply down there, you won't be complaining about the number of shots you get in a day. Take pictures and post a few for us stuck up here in the cold.
