My Crab Apple tying directions were just published in Fly Tyer . There have been a number of posts asking for the directions in the past on this site. I don't subscribe to the magazine and have not seen it yet and Dble Haul is suppose to send me photo's of the Article tonight. I don't think it will be on the newsstands for a couple weeks... so when I get the e-mail with the story and directions I would be happy to forward it to anyone who asks and is interested.. if someone else subscribs and has the time, I would appreciate an e-mail with the article and pictures to download so I can supplement Marks e-mail..Thanks In advance.

My newest issue of Fly Tyer arrived in Saturday's mail. I haven't had a chance to read it yet but I did glance a pic of a crab looking fly while giving it a quick flip through.

OK...read it while at work today and it really is your Crab Apple. Does this mean I'm suppose to scan it and then email it?

Alder... thanks anyway, but I have it from another e-mail...Thanks anyway.
Funny you posted this today.
I just got back from the Bear's Den getting some materials for crabs. I'm going to make some crab apples, but use an E-Z Shape sand and olive mix for the back.

Ray...here is a thought too.. Bob Pop had suggested to me last year to try a circular cut of regular sand paper...... which comes in different shades of brown and different coarsness.... from the hardware store.
I just happen to have a selection of sand paper in my workshop. I'll give it a try. I also have a buch of those hard felt-like "thingies" you up under chairs and other furniture to keep them from damaging the floor. Maybe those would work too.
Thanks,
Ray
