I like to remove the treble hook and tie on 4" of mono to a small teardrop, I really like the glow'n the dark on both the pimple and the dropper. Tip with perch belly, minnow bits, or maggots. Fish just off the bottom for perch, or 5ft under the ice for trout.
how do you fish your pimple?

Just tie it on and bounce it near the bottom. Like to keep things simple.

I do a fair amount of jigging with the pimple. My favorite size is the 2 which is pretty light and small 1/10 oz. On the 2's and 3's I always remove the trebles and put on the single hook because I always tip the jig with something. Usually mousies. When I fish NH lakes for lakers I will often use the 2 even in 60 feet of water, but I tip it with either a whole small smelt or a cut up smelt/shiner. My favorite bait to tip it with are the tiny smelt that the perch and lakers spit up. Also, the single hook always falls out when I get a salmon in the hole--it always falls out just before I cut the line as required by law. I do keep the trebles on for the bigger pimples, but almost never fish them.
I have tried your rig, but I feel that the pimple is the attractor for the bigger fish and that they are more likely to hit it than the dropper jig. My solution was to take the chain off a rapala pilkki and put it on with a single hook. This gives me an inch and a half chain dropper with the single hook that I tip with bait. This jig is killer on bass as well as all the panfish that we normally catch, plus the pickerel don't bite off the dropper.

It is my neighborhood but Tuedays are busy for me, if you ever want to fish Wednesdays I'm usaully free, Fridays and weekends too.
There has been really good reports coming out of Newfound Lake, a lot of 18"-21", 1/4-1/2oz white bucktails tipped with a minnow seem to be the trick
Let me know how you do tuesday
I've also heard that has been some bobhouse vandels on the lake, guess they've hit a few, even burned one down.
