T&T XL2

I've got an opportunity to buy what I'm told is a Thomas & Thomas mdel the company stopped making a couple years ago: the XL2. It's a five weight, and I would plan to use it as "second" rod, mostly for the ponds around the Cape ("first" rod is a nine-weight I use in the salt). It's a very good price, I think, for that brand, but the fact that it was discontinued worries me a bit.

Does anyone have any experience with this particular T&T model, for good for bad?

Why does a rod that's been discontinued worry you - if it's priced right then buy it. I bought two Sage rods that are discontinued and didn't think twice because they're a great rod, and I got them at a great price.
