Just wanted to let everyone know that fish are starting to be taken in Raritan Bay. As a newspaper photographer I have good sources and they have been telling me that Pebble Beach in Union Beach, Keyport and the flats of Port Monmouth have been producing fish including one 12 pounder that was weighed at a local tackle shop.
Curious as to these reports I took a ride to check out Pebble Beach today and seen two short Stripers taken in what could have been no more then a 1/2 hour I was there. Granted these fish are being caught on worms but it's still a good sign that fish are here and our opportunities to catch fish is not too far away.
Guess I should start tying the flies I was supposed to be tying all winter long!!!!! --125-3
