View Full Version : Possibilities??
I know it's a longshot but.....
can anyone tell me how the Stillwater and Quinne are running?
How about the Squannacook (upper end above the harbor)?
Is there a chance they're fishable......or should I just stay home?

Everything in Central MA is blown.
Sqan is blown big time below the dam (which is spilling over  )
Ponds are probably your safest bet, or sit home and :-%

I live a couple of hundred yards from the Stillwater. It's unfishable right now, but it's in great shape for a fun kayak run from 62 to just above the basin! Gonna make the run this weekend :brow.

Like the guys say, stick with the ponds for the next few days. If you can find any shoreline that is. One local water that I fish must have come up 3-4 feet in the past 3 days (it's fed by a stream that is now a torrent). Funny thing is, it's only been stocked once and was slow until yesterday, but the high water really improved the bite  .

Just came from the Stillwater, it's almost back within its banks now. Another day or two.
from the Swift River. It was at normal flows! Had a great day....found fish well below Cady Lane. My buddy and I were sight fishing to some nice chubby stockers. Most around 12", one maybe a bit bigger. Got a few above Cady and just below the hatchery outflow as well. If you could see them, you could catch them.
