Well here goes nothin my first post after being a frequent reader :)
I fish often around Westport MA and catch lots of "small" fluke 17-22" around the river mouth. I would like to target the larger fluke that live in the ocean. Could anyone offer advice as to what bottom type and depth large fluke like to inhabit any thoughts would be appreciated.

I haven't really fished For Fluke in the Westport area, but I have been very sucessful in the "Cove". Is a real kick ass spot off of the dike in New Beigh, if you fish with blue fish heads. Good luck. Give this a shot some time, you will find it well worth your time

why blue fish heads you ask. Well its a funny story really. I was out fishing with my brother and he dumped all of the squid out of the boat stating that it was cruel and unusual punishment. I was ****ed. I didn't want to go in though, so I took the head from a bluefish that I was using for chum and put it on the hook. After a couple of minutes on the bottom Bam! on huge fluke bent my road tip righ over. I never did land this fish, but I saw it and man was it big.
