Anyone been fishin', yet? Any ideas on what works best?
Am headed for POC Friday for a few days of Yakking/fishing with one of our Reel-Time colleagues from up Northeast............fella whose handle is talbot3 , a good guy and avid angler. Maybe this time I can convince him of the advantages of using the cherished Johnson Gold Spoon...........the deadliest Red killer on the flats. (He got skunked last time cause he didn't use one!) Will give ya'll a report soon as I get back.
Don't forget to tear down those reels and get into the drag mechanisms for a good cleaning............sitting up all winter with water and salt on them will lose that first big red!
