Strapped the canoe on the rack and slid her into Whites on Saturday ~12:30. Was blowing like stink, but we had motivated and it was sunny so we paddled straight to the far shore which was in the lee. Both of us were throwing weighted buggers. I had a fltg line, my buddy the uniform sink. First drift throwing into shore he hooks up and in comes a 12 inch stocky 'bow to the net. Quick photo and then released it. A handful of other whacks but no hookups in 4 hours but we were not skunked. Bunch of midges were buzzing around but nothing was up top feeding on them-at least not between 12:30 and 4:30. Nice to get out and wet one though, should only get better.
