I'd like to thank Dick Brown, author of Flyfishing for Bonefish (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1592280773/reeltimetheint00)and Bonefish Fly Patterns (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1558213929/reeltimetheint00/) for taking time out of his busy schedule to answer our questions and share his amazing expertise and knowledge of bonefishing.

Dick put a huge effort into his thoughtful responses, many of which could be excerpted and published in his next opus.

This was a voluntary effort on his part, as it is for all Ask the Author participants, and the least we can do to repay the kindness is click on one of the links above and buy a copy of his authoritative works.

Thanks again, Dick. I hope you'll continue to hang out at Reel-Time!

Coming up later this week: David DiBenedetto, author of On the Run (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0060087455/reeltimetheint00), last fall's great book about the Field & Stream editor's journey down the Striper Coast during the fall run of 2001. A review of the book will appear later this week.

Thank you David for having me. And thank all of you all who participated for your interesting questions. I enjoyed chatting with all of you about my favorite gamefish. Feel free to contact me through the RT Private Message function if you have an additional question.

As a member of this excellent sight and living in England (No Bonefish here) I would like to thank Dick For his 2 excellent books and advice on BoneFishing on this forum. It turned me into wishing I could do that into a Bonefish nut. Roll on his next book.

We'll move the bonefish discussion to its own section this week. As well as Dick's kind offer to privately answer questions, the public option in the Ask the Author's sub-folder, is also open if he's willing (not to impose further, as you've already donated a major chunk of time and writing these past weeks.

Dick,

As someone who has been dreaming about going bonefishing for some time and now headed off on my first trip May 1st I can't tell you how valuable this discussion and your offline advice has been.

Thanks again,

Sean

Scott,

Thanks for your comments and good luck on your flats trip. I envy your first hook up with Mr. Torpedo ... and still remember mine.
