Spent a few hours on the Stillwater yesterday. Lots of company on the river; not many fish. With the warm weather there was a lot of insect activity. You could easily see the schools of (very small) stockies in the sandy part of the river below the singing bridge, above the S pool. They are still acting like hatchery fish! (#$119)
Next time I will try the big water before the lakers all head for deeper water. Anyone have an update on the Wachusett?
