Spent the long weekend in RI. It seems like the spring run may be on with some small stripers caught yesterday afternoon. Bill Downing was there and we saw at least a half dozen micro schoolies landed Monday but apparently one young guy lost a fish that was far bigger. Wintry conditions on the Wall, wish I had brought my fleece neck warmer and hat. I had a grand total of one confirmed nibble in three days.

I must have just missed you. I had an orange wind breaker on. Spin rod. Left around 12 noon or so...glad you at least saw more than I did..

I try and hit it mid-to high on the incoming so I didn't even head up until 6. Spent the after noon as tick bait in the Trustom Pond reserve. Nice walk, but bring bug spray.

Shaun,

Jon and I hit the place Monday evening, but only a dozen at best were caught amongst the multitudes. Mostly nano sized. I've found sunset to complete darkness on the incoming with a SW wind to be best there, but I think it will bust open by next weekend and tide will probably make less of a difference. Of course, plenty of other spots should be hopping by then too.

bd you just described my Albie searching tides there in the fall Gotta love the way a sw wind stacks up along the middle bend in the wall.

 I was there yesterday morning about 8:00am, froze my butt off- nothing doing at all on storm shads or a small kastmaster. Nobody there when we got there or when we left half an hour later. 3-4 guys fishing for Blackbacks at the public parking area when we left, nothing doing. Went five miles inland and it was 80 and sunny, left the Wall foggy and felt like 40 with a stiff wind blowing right into the Wall.

Yeah I forgot to mention it's always colder than %$#@ there in April. I usually bundle up in gear normally reserved for ice fishing season  .

Ahhhh, that's part of the WW's charm...I don't think I've ever been warm there.
