Speaking of Tunas...

Just got back from Key West. Had our way with Blackfins. Got 6-8 on the 12 wt. Also made the mistake of throwing at a 40lb+ Amberjack- hard to believe how fast they can go 300 ft straight down into a wreck. So much for the mastery tarpon taper..........

CONGRATS on the Blackfins!!!!!......Outstanding, aren't they great, perfect 12wt. tunoids, were you fishing the lumps or the shrimpers?

Fishing 10 miles south of Key West. Shrimpers weren't out because of wind and tides????

Nice job on the tuna. How was the fight overall on the 12wt? I think a freind of mine went out with that same guide and also had a great trip. Were you guys chuming fish at the back of the boat? Or teasing them on squid bars?
