First Bass of the season!!!!!!!!!

so it aint no pig, but it is a start. caught on Weds April 21st on a rubber shad in Jamaica Bay. Might have taken a fly if the wind wasn't whippin so fast our drift was 40 MPH!!!

Fished J-Bay Sunday with Tom G. and John McMurray, COLD/WINDY felt like November. We did manage a dozen stripers between 12"-25" on sinking lines and clousers......no fish in shallow water, and we got chased out of a few spots around the airport by NYPD Helicopter..........going back next sunday, hope it warms up.

Hey Peter- thought that was you yesterday out there. I was in the Black Steiger. That wind direction sucked. Atleast they r taking flies now, now bring on the hogs!!!

Hey Brendan,
It was nice to have them hitting flies, and we were marking lots of fish down DEEP but they would not eat. The wind and current made it tough to get a fly down to them. Hopefully this weekend the sun comes out and warms things up and the winds settles a bit. I agree with you BRING ON THE HOGS!!
