Has anyone fished the new Winston Boron IIX rod for saltwater. I have been considering one. I have test cast the sage xi rod, the gloomis glx, and the winston boron IIX. The winston fits my casting style much better than the others. What are your opinions? Thanks for all of the help.

fished a 10 weight, which isn't a good barometer since most companies make a good 10 weight. but i will say the it was super fast, crisp and light in the hand. lighter than most which I think is most important in the 10 wt class.

The B IIX 9 is a really sweet rod. Light, super crisp and powerful. This is what I'll be fishing my 9 floater and intermediate with. In other words, no overlining! For my 250 and 350, I still swear by the XTR 9.

I have an 8, 10, and 12 Winston IIs and thbne same in the Xi2's. The Winston is softer in casting but has great butt section lifting power. My preference is the Xi2, but both are very good...Bruce
