Favorite Redfish Flies

What are everyone's favorite redfish flies?, i have some shimp flies but I was told that the reds like dark colored flies. What is everyone's opinion?

I'm a recent full-time saltwater fly fisherman (just moved to Ft. Myers a month ago), but I've fly fished for Reds on many occasions before the move as well.. from my experience.. I've found Reds aren't the sharpest tool in the shed (no offense to them.. I love the fish) and just about anything put in their face they will eat if it looks like food.. just the same.. so far I've been using alot of olive over orange bendbacks in size 2 with great success.. chartreuse over white is also good. Bendbacks, clousers, deceivers, Redbone fluffs.. they all work.. now snook on the other hand.. they are PICKY!!! Have fun!

I would have to go with a
1)copper Dupre Spoonfly
2)small popper
3) red/white bead eye clouser
4) tan seaducer
that should have you covered

What are your opinions about Black Death flies for Reds? i was in a fly shop adnd the guy said that he liked Black Death flies.

The black death is a REAL popular tarpon fly.. haven't heard of it being used for Reds, but I don't see why not in smaller sizes.. wittich made some great suggestions.. that spoon fly is a killer..

Chartreuse And White clousers all day. Any clouser decever pattern. Dark colors if water is murky. Any poper if they are feeding on the top. I agree with winston if the bite is on it just doesn't matter.

Everywhere that I have fished for reds, epoxy spoon flies are the best. Jim Dupre makes a good one, but not the best. They are a pain to tie, but very worthwhile to get a few in your arsenal. My favorite color is purple on the top, and copper or gold on the bottom. Send me a PM if you need to know how to tie them (#$121)
