Fished Oregon Beach for awhile this morning before the temperature plummeted. Did not see anyone using orange catch anything. A guy using a white plug did get a couple hook-ups while I was there.
Found it humorous.
About 20 people had waded out and were standing waste to chest deep in the water, casting out into deeper water. One guy standing on the beach casting his chunk herring into knee deep water, Maybe only 1/4 the distance out to the waders.

I boated about a half dozen blues today solely on a white twitching minnow lure and on a white deerhair fly.

The blues were really lethargic and ate only when the lure or fly was stopped. My traditional orange stuff didn't even get follows.

was fishing Oregon Beach one time and waded out about 50 yards from shore to get a better shot at the blues with a friend of mine I hooked into a nice one and headed to shore to unhook and toss in the ice chest when I returned to fish with my friend he was standing in the middle of a school of blues

Never saw him move so fast.. one hand on his rod no make that two

...didn't have time to fish this weekend, but did scope the usual haunts Sat evening after lawn, boat, chipper-vac and beer-drinking duty....

Mom and I spoke with a coupla young fellas at Oregon who were having a smoke and a pop after chasing blues...they were encouraging- told us that the blues had definitely taken up residence- mostly 8 pounders or so...they seemed to have had a full evening...

..did my own reconnoiter Sunday sunrise before fetching paper and bagels...found a conspicuous lack of fishermen out- also checked a few local herring runs and they were deader than Elvis...if that keep as such the bass may get over to eels early...
