Are there any tidal outflows that I could hit on foot?

There were birds working pods of baits all long the East Hampton town beaches on Sunday morning saw some fish rolling under them though didn't get any to eat while the birds were on them. I did get a 39inch +/-25lbs. bass to take a pencil popper basically off the sand, saw a lot of other fish they were all crusing/working the trough where the waves break, needless to say I was really unhappy I didn't have a fly rod with me as they were in real close and the wind and waves were very fly fishing friendly for a change. I would think if there was that mucha happening in East Hampton on Sunday there has to be fish in Montauk by this weekend.
