Any word from LBI? Headed down to our house this weekend (from Mass) and hoping to finally hook into some weakfish.....or anything else that will run.

Are you flyfishing the surf,bay, or boat? Good flyfishing to be had, especially bass & blues. Weakfish are around, but takes a lot of work. Caught three yesterday...all over 28" on all pink half & halfs, all released.

Fishing from shore.......so either the surf in Beach Haven or up by Barnegat in the bay. Need to get a darn boat!!

just got back from a weekend in lbi...also from MA

we stayed in Barnegat Light area all weekend...only got 2 fish, both keepers (36" on Monday AM at 14th St.)...also got 5 blues off the jetty..stop in to Barnegat Light Bait & Tackle and ask for Basil...had some weed problems on Saturday, but they seemed to be letting up...good luck!

Try the flats in the bay. Blues everywhere.
