Hoping to get out in the next week, looking for any info. I hear the first bluefin came in last week.

Mark-
I haven't been shark fishing yet but those that have gone to the fingers have done well on blues and an occasional mako. Seems to be about 10:1 blues to makos.
We did catch one 40lb BFT at west Atlantis this weekend. Another boat in the vicinity got a 100lb bft and was into some nice fish in the early afternoon.

Just wondering, what rods/reels do you run for those blue dogs, and what did you get that tuna on!!

Went out yesterday, south of Block, 14500/43750. 67-69 degree water. Six 100-150 lb. Bluedogs and one Thresher, 200-250lb. The Tresher put on a great fight and show, jumping completely out of the water. Lost him at the boat, but would have cut him off anyway.
I checked the temp charts today. 71-72 degree water in the Fingers. Anybody go out yesterday?
