which leaders for mahi-mahi?

Going after Dorado for the 1st time. what type of leader material do i need? 30lb, 20lb, wire? thanks.

Down here in Key West the Dolphin usually hit from directly behind and often short strike the hook. I use a 3' 40 pound butt looped to 5' of 30 pound mono.

They are not shy and usually get hooked in the lips or swallow the whole thing. I have never had one bite through 30 pound mono. Even large ones.
