Just back from a week on the shark tourney infested vineyard, many thanks to all the RTers who shared advice and especially Greenpond Ed who shared his boat. I fished less than I would have liked, but the beers were flowing and buddies from college less than encouraging...early in the week, found it quiet at Middle Ground, motored towards Tashmoo and found ourselves some voracious schoolies mixed in with few blues (a nice ratio). Hungry, but only moderately interested in Ed's and my offerings (fly and spin). Shore fishing was slow, I set up in what seemed a a great spot in Eel pond, to no avail. A daytime trip to Lobsterville also yielded nothing (it was daytime, I think this is to be expected). A few short stints near State beach also went fishless, but were nonetheless great. One evening South beach had a few fish slapping around, but I was of course there for a swim, sans equipment...Interestingly, a buddy of mine was getting into the water at South beach, midday, said he nearly stepped on a keeper...Anyway, thanks again for the help everyone, a great week.
