Looking at getting a new 7# rod for a coming bonefishing trip to cuba. Will be using an 8# line. Can't decide between Sage xi2,xp or the Orvis t3. (#$119)

All are excellent rods and I do not think any of these 3 will dissapint you. The only way to tell what works for YOU is to go cast all three, side by side if at all possible.
Factor in things like:
Price - if makes a difference
Warranty from the manufacturer
Service form the shop you buy it from
3 vs 4 vs 5 pce for travel
Report back on the fishing in Cuba. Shoul dbe incredible!

Can’t say anything about Orvis as I am unfamiliar with the rod.
The Xi2 has better lifting capacity over the XP as it was designed specifically for saltwater. Other then that, it is all personal preference. I own a couple of Xi2s. My personal preference is the little more muscle over the little more delicacy. You preference may be the other way.
Checkout the G. Loomis CrossCurrent rods. I just got a 9' 9-weight. It is perfect for sight fishing. fast and light. Not too much $$$$ either $365
