Had a work-related appointment down the Cape yesterday...brought the dog, and went for a hike on the beach at sunset...in my haste to get to appointment, I forgot the fly rod at home...You know what's coming, right?

Watched cruising/splashing/crashing/jumping fish (blues mostly, I think) chasing silversides down the beach...they were just over the surf line, well w/n casting range...I could easily see numbers of fish in the waves as they peaked...

Absolute torture watching this without the gear...But, Mr. Bunkers had a great time...

my girlfriend and I went to Nausett light beach saturday, fishing rods were banned, and the same thing happened to me. About 5:30 pm, as we are leaving, a HUGE blitz starts up about 150 yards offshore. Couldnt reach it even if I had a rod, but man, it looked good.
