nonFF- best braided line for conventional reel?

I picked up an ambassadeur 5501 and a 7' medium action rod for cheap and am wondering what the best braided line would be. I have only used mono in the past, but was figuring on loading up with one of the new 30lb wonderlines. Anybody have experience with these lines?

Power Pro! If you do a search you will see a definite split between PP and Stren, I don't think reading it will help you make your decision any easier. Some people have had totally different experiences with PP than I have, such as backlashes, losing lures, birds nests etc. People have the same problems with the Stren, I tried to draw a coorelation between the problems and the type of equipement, the type of people, or different fishing methods, but I was unsuccessful. Try one of the two and see what happens, I recommend Power Pro.
