Went out with buddy(Kris) this morning, flyfishing for Blues.
We launched out of Barrington beach and headed out to the point with some rocks sticking out. Waited 45min and then had some fish blitz right under us,Kris got a nice one in and I missed a few, then they were gone.
We tried a few other spots where they came up but its difficult to try and chase them in a yak they come up and move on.
A lot of boats out there chasing and fishing, saw a few guys flyfishing out there. Fish were all over and moving around a lot from the beach to the middle
It was good to be out and fish with Kris again, I think we are getting him converted to flyfishing, he could not believe a 6lb blue can fight like that.
You are almost dissapointed when you finally get them at the side and see they are not as big as you expected.
The one fish that I had on just would not come up I thought he was going to be bigger.

Had a great time out there Leon! Definatly addicting hitting those blues on flyrods! I have fished blitzes before, but never from a kayak. Nothing like sitting right in the action! Here are some pics.

BTW...been lurking on your board for quite some time, thought it was time to join in.

1st pic is of a blitz pretty far out. I could have gotten some better pics of the blitzes that were close in, but I would have had to put down the flyrod!

Other pics are of Leon and myself with the average size blues...6-8lbs.
