Nice! Trolling tube and worm seems to work well for the bigger stripers...I'm wondering what type of set up folks use for this, how do you keep the tube down deeper and how much line do you generally let out? Thanks, I'd like to give this method a try this Fall.

I use a Penn 965 with 20lb braid, ball bearing swivel and 3 foot fluroleader on a St Croix trolling rod I have the spool tension set so it lets line out at a pace that matches my speed when paddling. Slower you go the lower it gets...in shallows 15 feet or less you don't need any extra weight....deeper waters, which i don't typically do, leadcore line, (ask Ridler about this I know nothing about that.)
Let out as much line as you can.. I usually let out at least a good 50 yards. If i pass shallow or nice structure I adjust paddlling to get as close to as I can without getting hung up.
