I fished DI early this morning from 12am till 3am whitch was dead low. Got two fish on fly and lost 3 others. :) Cause I saw a skunk on the way in.. :brow
it was best friom 12am to about 01h30 then all seemed to die down, for the next hour and a half I did not even get a hit. :mad:
Saw three schools of bait come from the harbor side out the mouth, small and moving on top you could see what looked like wind at first and then as they got closer tell the were small fish, I did not see any fish breaking or chasing them. :confused:
Lots of seeweed on the beach and in the water.
All the fish took a 6inch black and silver eel fly, no hits on a popper.
When I left i tried another spot inside the harbor but water was dirty and only gave it a few casts no hits, gave up and promtly walked into two skunks that I did not see until I saw the white tails up... :eek:
Not great but ok at least the weather was better than the last three outings there.
