Hit my usual fall spots along 127. Nothing doing. Conditions were border line with the South wind. Good swells and a lot of chop. Might have tried it if I saw action but no birds, no surface action nada. Did see one fish taken off the rocks in Magnolia. Looked like a blue.
Drove over to Pavillion where conditions were a lot better. Launched and headed to the rocks to the right. Caught a few fish averaging 20". Did see some pods of bait on the fish finder but nothing major.
Unfortunately I'm at work now and unable to make the dawn patrol today. Of course the wind has laid down a bit. My next chance will be midweek and if the weatherman are right it'll be just in time for the remnants of Jeanne.
Two weeks and I'm off for a week of fall fishing.

Very nice surface activity early this am from 6-9 from Dane all the way up to Endicott - I don't know about further up since I was in Kayak. Mostly micros but almost all stripers-some of the blitzes strarted to look impressive considering the lack of bait they were going after- the micros i caught were very fiesty and plump.

Didn't get out there for sunrise, but Crane's seemed pretty 'dead' this morning. I got my smallest striper of the year, but plenty of bait around.

So many of these areas sound quite foreign to me. The only places I have tossed flies up there are Plum, Crane's and Halibut.

A normal map or a map for locals?

normal Map. Friday morning from Revere beach to Salem harbor were scattered flocks of birds over fish. Small blues and bass mostly although there were some larger fish mixed in. There again this morning too.

That must have you I saw in the yellow Walden - first at Black/White then Pavillion. I should have introduced myself. I was glad we both moved as the conditions off Crow weren't the best. I picked up about 8 fish at Pavillion but nothing over about 24". Next time I'll be sure to say hello properly...
