Hi guys.
I´m going to the Amazon in 5 days and I was wondering to buy a #9 back up line. When bonefishing a Rio quick shooter is OK, but for the amazonian peacockbass I will need to cast bigger flies (#3 divers and streamers). Have anyone tried the Rio clouser line? What about a SA salt water taper? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

in the laguna madre the clouser line has proven to be too stiff and really memory plagued. even stretching it doesn't always work. never thought i'd say that a line was too stiff but this one is. the rio lines, the cortland tropic plus and some of the monics seem to do better.

Any Saltwater Taper Will Do, My First Time Fishing For Peacocks And Payaras Was Done With A #9 Sa Bonefish Line And Had No Problems With The Big And Heavy Flies.
Plus The Harder Core On Salt Water Lines Help Protecting Them As Well, Amazon Waters Are Very Strong And Acid Not To Mention The Sand.
I Also Bought Cortlands Pike Fly Line, Beautifull Color And All But Couldnt Cast With Ease, I Had To Rig The Backup Line Which Was A Golden Cup #9 For Saltwater And It Really Did The Work, Not Too Much Memory And Very Very Cheap.
