Figured since I had some time off I would go extreme and fish until I couldn't fish anymore. I had my canoe on the car and figured I would start up by powder point and work back towards plymouth, throwing the canoe in any spot I saw bird activity. I drove by about a 10 usually active spots in the bay and saw nothing. Not one bird working from powder point to sagamore beach. This was 11:00am to 2:00pm. I figured that it would pick up later into the night so I took a break and regrouped for what I thought would be a great overnight trip. Me and my buddy threw the canoe in the South River in Hummarock around 8:00p.m. We started out by the marina worked a way up to the North River. Nothing. Fished the rips with eels. Nothing. Worked a 2 mile stretch on South river. Nothing. Did not see one fish come up and stayed until 1:30am. I know this is a common discussion as of recent but, NO BAIT FISH!!!!. How can I work a marshland river and estuary and see no silversides. None. At this point I figured why not get a coffee and continue to get my ass kicked at the canal. I got to Scusset parking lot around 2:15 and only saw one other car. Thought that was strange but it was a strange night. If anyone was down there last night that fog was pretty thick. Started to head west and finally saw action on top. After a  cut line and lost eel I threw on a plug and caught the only fish of the night. A decent 6-7lb blue. Stayed until 5:45am and saw very little action and hardly any bait. At this point I knew I needed redemption and went to the one consistent spot I have been to over the past few weeks. After a couple hours of sleep I went to a little estuary system in S. plymouth and caught four fish in a hour and left. All four were keepers between 28in - 34in at this point the weather picked up and I was finished. All in all, not good. I am one very confused fisherman right now with the lack of fish and bait.

It has been very consistent except for when the seals are around. I have noticed a lot of seals from manomet to sagamore and it seems a little early for that amount of seals. Might be having an effect on the numbers of fish in those surrounding areas.

I noticed a seal way up the S. River a few weeks ago...thought it strange too.

Haven't been out since last Friday but I did find pretty good activity from the Mouth to Damon's that day. Schoolies...but they were everywhere.

On Sunday a buddy of mine got into a great blitz in Duxbury...in the middle of the day. But it has been up and down.
