Triple surgeon's works well and is quick.

If you have the time a Albright tied with the PP doubled does well. Test the knot, if you didn't tie it correctly it will slip, if done correctly it should never fail.

A few tips on knot tying:
1. Practice at home under controlled conditions, not when there is a school
of busting fish 40' off your bow. :brow Winter is a great time to do this, it keeps you thinking about fishing, and builds your skills as an angler.
2. Buy a couple of good books on knots, Lefty Kreg wrote a few.
3. Be rigged before you get on the water, especially in New England where the
low light hours are so critical to angling sucess.
4. Tie knots repetitively as you would train for any sport. A complete angler will always be more sucessfull.
5. Don't use swivels!

Some knots to keep in your arsenal, clinch knot, improved clinch knot, blood
knot, albright knot, uni-knot, bimini twist and a non slip mono loop knot. These knots will cover most fly/spin fishing situations.
To your question. I have had great luck joining power pro to florocarbon
using back to back uni-knots. First tie a bimini twist in your power pro
which will double your line thus the diameter of the power pro giving you a more secure knot. For tuna this first step is very important because of the larger diameter of the 60# floro leader. Once the bimini is tied, lightly coat it with "zap a gap" or similar to keep it from coming apart. You can also use a triple surgeons knot instead of the bimini twist. Once you have created the double line in your power pro, you can join it with the 60# floro leader using a back to back uni-knot. If tied correctly, this rig is very reliable.

Another real good book on knots: Fishermen's Knots, Fishing Rigs, And How To Use Them. Author Bob McNally.

Best of luck!!
