Fly Tying Symposium

Anyone going to or ever been to the Fly Tying Symposium? It's coming up soon:

I went to the one last winter. I recommend it but I spent far too much money ! There is a lot going on such as seminars and tying demonstrations. The best aspect for me was talking to the tiers to get their insight into the flies they create. If Bob Popovics is talking this year you should go and see his slide show. The blitz movies are worth the admission price alone !

I expect I'll end up going this year and spending way too much also, but hey, it's for a good cause ('cause I NEED to go...) --125-3

I've seen Bob Popovics' slide shows. We had him for a guest speaker/tyer at one of our fly club meetings a couple of years ago - awesome!

I went in 2001 and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you can make it, go. :)

I cleared it with my dear wife, I am going! She told me I have to leave the check book home though... I wonder why? :rolleyes:

It is a great event, and a dangerous one if you bring your wallet, I am going if the herring aren't around out east........
