i started a thread on the kayak page inquiring about an inflatable kayak.
i thought i'd list it here as well.
has any one used one for travel to bonefish?
headed to bahams, needs to travel well, compact yet stable.
was it worth the trouble?
i'm headed to eluethera, might there be a rental to find?
any info is of value.
thanks!!

I brought a U boat float tube to the Keys last year. Wind was an issue. I would like to try a poontoon boat for bones bayside. Wind would probably still be a problem but I'd like to give it a try.

I had an inflatable Streans Kayak that I used for fishing on the TX coast. That was until about the 10th trip when I was night fishing and started hearing a hissing noise and had to paddle like hell back to shore while my kayak was slowly deflating. --126-3-

I just got back last week from Abaco. Typical for the last 3 trips, I got blown off the water 3 out of 7 days; when the steady wind drops to 20 mph or so its time to find the lee side of an island and fish. When home, I use catarafts, but would not have wanted to fight what the wind does to my cat in those kind of breezes, nor worry about the corral slicing open my ride!
