Oh what the hey, "put me in coach, I quit smoking". I don't know what flavor just yet, but it'll be of a Southern accent, maybe chicken fried.

Due to material shortage, I'm going to have to switch from the Glades Deceiver to what I call the "750 Deciever" as in Mirrolure. This is a good Winter color combination for large speckled trout. Once again, time to get tying.

Dear Bull:

Swap has been closed-filled with 10 ties-tiers for a while now.

More swap things to come once the full-on Winter is upon us (Winter in So Cal?).

Be on the look-out as ruge13 (Shaun) will more than likely be warming up the board swaps.

Definately!

After the holidays people usually start tying like crazy. So, expect to see 2 or 3 a month until May. Any plenty of variety to. Definately going to do some exotic stuff this year, not just New England flies.

Might even see a few contests...

Hey KMM,
Tell us about that bonito bite in Redondo Harbor!

I miss So. Cal!

Slappy:

The Bonito bite has been here since September. It was reported often that King Harbor and many other areas had good amounts of this feisty "torpedo" this year. The Santa Ana River Jetties (ocean mouths of the River and Nature Preserve) is still producing a few fish too.

It was a decent year for this fun species.

Bonito are the fish I miss most being in MA. The albies here are a blast, basically the same kind of fishing but bigger fish. But not year-round like those redondo bonito.

I was up till one last night, but mine are in the mail. I tied an all black deceiver with a spun deer hair head. These are deadly at night and can be fished on a greased line as a slider or swim great subsurface on a sinking line.

I'll be a tad late with my offering - between work, the hollydaze, work, becoming a grandfather (again) and did I mention work? I'm almost done, plan on finishing them up this weekend.

Stay tuned...

well, i realized that my continuing skill to confuse decivers and clousers even continued with this fly swap. hope you enjoyed my clousers. maybe, some day, i will actually tie a deivcier and put it in a swap.

Animal Chris

Oh well, don't worry. I have a baitfish swap going on and one of the entries is a Brahnam Epoxy Shrimp. I guess it's all in how you look at it.
