Another season of windy weather??? It blew pretty good yesterday and seas were 5-6 feet beyond the reef. I only noticed two other boats fishing yesterday, and they were 40 foot+ sportfishers.
Sailfish have been getting pretty reliable over the past 2 weeks. Flew the kite yesterday and managed to release 2 nice fish. Live Speedo (Redtail Scad) and live Pinfish were the baits used.
Small Cobia are around on the Atlantic side and the big ones should start to move in soon. You can find large Cobia now on Gulf wrecks.
We also caught a boatload of Amberjacks ranging from 10-30 pounds. All were released.
Had one day of Shark on fly last week and found 2 Hammerheads around 6 feet. Both were released unharmed.
