Still some bass around, nearly all micros at this point. These will probably linger and winter over. Morning was slow, plenty of birds working over bait, but not many bass in those pods. The herring and macks I saw in abundance last week have vanished from the breachway, although the tide wasn't the best. I think the bigger baits are still around, judging by the continuing presence of diving gannets just a bit offshore.

At dusk, things picked up a bit, and was able to pull a half dozen from the Gansett rocks, including a 24 incher.

Whether I'll continue mostly depends on the weather, because I think the stripers will hang on into sometime in December. After that, one could still get them in deep holding areas, but it's a lonely, cold game, one I think I'll let others play ;) .

Bill, Many thanks to you for this and all the other accurate and interesting posts over the season. You cover alot of territory and your posts are very helpful to amatures like myself. Keep up the good work and have a pleasant off season. Thanks again.
