Hey Guys, looking for some bonefish help. I want to fish the Bahamas in April. Looking for a spot where it wont cost an arm and leg. I dont need the fancy lodgings and five course meals. Just good guides and a shot at some nice bones. If you have had good luck with a travel co please let me know. Send me the web site or E-Mail address. Mostly fly fish. Thanks for the help. Tom

Talk to Andrew about Andros: Tightlines Flyfishing 973-244-5990
I was talking to him yesterday and he is putting together a trip to South Andros in April. I went with this group in '03. Good food, good digs, nothing fancy, but good guides and plenty of shots at fish. A lot of fish, up to 10lbs. Most were 3-4lbs. Flats boat and wading.
Trying to talk the wife into letting me go again. :brow

Hey, I got in on this conversation a little late, but Grand Bahama is very reasonable. I stayed at Pelican Bay and fished with Sam Taylor. I think he's still at bonefishsam@hotmail.com or you can get lots of info at the grand bahama website. good luck!!

A little off the beaten path, but the fishing is great and the people are wonderful. It is also very reasonable. I have booked through Scott Heywood with Angling Destinations (www.anglingdestinations.com). I like Frank & Ruth's Guesthouse - Clinton & Michael are lots of fun to fish with and there is some variety other than just bones. Try the pilchard fishing, which should be fabulous in April - the mutton snapper will be running and they are tons of fun on fly.
Good luck. Keith

The last time we went to the Bahamas we were in your situation Keith, we decided to join the International Bonfishing Society (IBS) personally i think its worth the 35 dollar year long membership fee. We searched through IBS and found a great guide in the Berry Islands named Percy. Had a blast and we were on bonefish the entire time! Once again well worth it!!!!! :brow
