Nice fly, is it a bend back??
Is that mylar tubing beneath or a woodchuck feather, its not clear.

The hooks...Owner Rig'N Hooks or Gamakatsu Worm Hooks...have a large gap and the bend act as a keel. The hook point is in line with the eye and there is no force deflection during hook set (the reason I don't care for bend backs).
Pearl mylar tubing is tied on the shaft to form the lower belly (I tried feathers but tubing was more durable and user friendly)...then bucktail, flash, long hackles, and large eyes are epoxied in place.
