While my boat is supposed to be out water and I'm on to holiday obligations in the city, from reports on other websites, seems that at least the Lazybones and Sea Otter crushed the fish over the weekend with gannets still working like crazy and big blitzes. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who is still getting them on fly out there.

Frank,
I got a report from a friend that on Sat. down the southside at Ditch they hammered them for 3 solid hours 32-38" fish until their arms were sore. Gannets dive bombing, herring everywhere the whole show.........wish I had been there

Rockaways are killing them, as you can see by the reports on Noreast.com. Not huge fish yet (except the Bluefish are around 10 pounds and not that thick anymore) but the bass are blitzin like crazy. was out Fri-Sat-Sun (cancelled today by mistake as it turns out it seems OK out there) Sat/Sun were epic and birds thicker than I have ever seen them. Fish on Herring are hard to feed, but fish on Peanuts are eating well. Looks like I am cancelling Tues/Weds for weather again but looks good thurs-Sunday so far. will keep my boat in for another few weeks if it dosen't start freezing over. Hardly a boat out there as everyone I know has pulled theirs. I suggest you run the beach at Breezy in a truck as they have been in the wash
Looks like the fish you had on 11/18 Frank

Hey Brendon and Peter,
How are you guys?
Isn't Jersey on fire? Have you been around Sandy Hook Brendon, or down the beach from there? Have you been fishing in NJ Peter? What's happening?
Mark

Hey Mark,
I haven't fished since Montauk in that Mid November insanity, which was OUTSTANDING!!.......Friends of mine have reported that NJ is on FIRE right now. the weekend was crazy reports non-stop action from sun up-down, big stripers on top chasing herring, with p-nuts and sand eels all over, ALL DAY, from IBSP to Manasquan. Fish 10-20# with BIGGER fish nosing the flies but not taking..........trying to get down there and get out shortly......how've you been, where you fishing?

Hey Mark,
Was down there a few days right before thanksgiving, and it was killin, but died same time as it did here. I speak to Gene most days and he is doing great starting Sat, but so have we so I have needed to run down there. was pretty dead 28th-2nd but like a light switch it turned on. Haven't seen big ones that Peter is talking about, but acres of breaking fish. Not sure why the big ones would be there and not here, but such is the mystery of saltwater fishing, and hopeful they are coming from Montauk that will carry us thru the holidays!!! lots of herring so that will hold em as long if we don;t get a major blow.
Pray for less wind as I am cancelling 3 days this week for snot, but looks good for thurs-sun!!! Hope you are well and will call you if I get a day free
later
