Have had killer fishing along the beach at the Rockaways for days now and they have been right in the wash, yet David Berman is the only guy I have seen out there. No boats to speak of either? I know it is the holidays coming and all but come on, are we all not fishermen or what?!?!?!?
(to be taken with a grain of salt from a guy with a big mouth!!)

You would see me out there in my Parker 18 like in years past, but I just started a new job, no sick or vacation days till the new year, and weekends are full with kid and Holiday stuff. Trust me, it's killing me. Haven't had the boat out since November 11th.......... Hope to be out this weekend depending on wind, weather and reports..............

You guys in NY and NJ are breaking my heart. --124-3
Here in ME and NH we had a lousy fall run, from the shore. Glad to hear someone is enjoying some good fishing.
Happy Hoildays!

Where Were you? Fished just about 2 miles south of Norton Point. Birds & Fishs everywhere sea conditions terrible but fishing could not have been better. Boated & released approx 30-40 bass in 3+ hours than called it quits. Just stupid fishing they hit anything your thru at them (bucktail s,rubbers shads, plastic worms) but they loved the dimond jigs, hit bottom lift & you had a fish. You could catch two at a time with a teaser. Fish range from small 14" to 24" but I did have three over 28 inches ) Spoke to buddy fishing east of Breeze Point same fishing conditions larger Bass typical 8-10 pound w/ occassion monster blue
I will try again on Friday but marine forcast is for more wind 15-20+K w/ gusting 30K

OK allready McTrout, I'll be out there Iwill emerge from my cave at Breezy and see you pass by at some time tomorrow. Caught three hickory shad yesterday late afternoon,so there is certainly large bait in the water no striped fish tho. Hope the glittering prizes will charge into the wash again while I'm there.

I went to where you mentioned, Itsmoderating, on Sat and Sunday and did not see a thing, not another boat. was right at first light on Sat and a bit later on Sunday. It was howling on Sunday, and nasty coming from Nortons to the Jetty, which is where the fish were on Sat. You keepin your boat in? I think I may pull it Sunday As I am going to Montreal and then to Panama until after new years. how bout you?

Mucho west wind on monday maybe 25 to 35 but if one got down low on the ocean side of the jetty it was manageable and some fish arrived on the incoming around dusk, half a dozen schoolies on the flea for me, and a keeper sized fish for a plug guy. Maybe the finish until the spring, sad to say. It's been fun.

Just found your site! Some of you guys might see this Jersey boy out at Breezy with the boat Fishin' Mission. Tried Breezy 1/9/05 SLOW read fish but none hiting. Went north to NY Harbor had 17 nice stripers on jigs to 33&1/2 inches January and still biting! I post alot of reports in my club site HRFANJ.org Member of the Hudson River Fishermans Association. It ain't over till the fat striper sings. Tight Lines

We have spots up here on Cape Cod that are still producing striped bass, although it's all schoolie action at this point. I've been taking a weekly stab at them since the beginning of December and have generally been doing well.
