Does anyone on the board have contact info to book Playa Blanca directly with the owners (instead of through one of the travel agencies that advertise it)? I'm planning a vacation for February or March and having a hard time choosing the spot. Playa Blanca sounds really great, but is slightly outside our budget. I'm hoping a direct booking would save a little.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's been there with a non-fishing spouse. My wife likes to snorkel, read on the beach and kayak--she won't be happy if the place is 100% geared to hard-core fishermen. I'll go out with a guide for a couple days, but need a place where I can fish without a boat (no guide) in the same area she's doing the above.

Thanks,
Andy

Not sure that will work as they usually just charge to the same as a travel agent since they have to do the work that the agency would. I suggest you try this guy as I know he books that place allot and could help you find out if it will save you any dough. his Name is alex and you can get him at alex@osprey-travel.com.He booked me to Casa Blanca last February and it was killin. my partner got 4 permit in one day (I of course got none!!!)
good luck
