Any ideas? Ones you want to see or participate in? Anyone else want to start a couple? I am going to shoot for 2 a month like last winter(but if there is enough interest as many as we can accomadate), maybe 3 if we mix it with Tropical stuff...
Lets here em??
For example,
Popular from last year...
Bonefish swap
Squid swap
hard tail Swap
Surface flies
Popular ideas we never got around too...
Shrimp / crab
Tarpon
Reds/specks
Large fly sawp
BFT swap
Any others? I am thinking qwe could mix a popular one with a newer one for example...Anyone feel free to start another, Jacob got us on a goot start!
Crab Swap!!!
Good for NE and tropical waters

How about a classic fly swap? I'd second the crab swap, if I could tie them properly...

I like the classic fly idea....goes along well with Jon's book.
Anyone want to start it? We could use a second one for the month...
Nevermind...I see its already beeen done, thanks Detra.
PS. I changed a few titles to make the sign up threads easy to follow and I stuck them so they won't get burried. Sorry for thr intrusion and if anyone wants me to change them back by all means tell me and I will.

Last year, on several boards, I participated in a Tarpon, Flats (Lighthouse Lakes, Texas in particular), Jetties and Surf, Bonefish and Permit and of course the annual RT Deceiver Swap. All were interesting, all netted some great flies as well as some interesting flies.
The great thing about these swaps is that you get to see a lot of the same flies tied just a little differently.
One "swap" that is worth consideration is one where each tyer (about 10 or 12) ties 3 or 4 of his favorite, best ties and we donate them as a set to the "Ride for the Cure". Whatch'a think?

Hi Im new and have tied for about two years and quit for a year and now im starting up again. I would like to see a Striper swap. Anything, like crabs deceivers, poppers, sand ells anyhting a striper would hit. I like tying herring and bunker flies so i would contribute those. Just a thought
