I took the family on a Disney cruise last week. While on Disney's private island, I was able to get away and do some fishing for a couple of hours. I finally located a nice flat with quite a few bones willing to eat. I had never caught a bonefish up until that point, but managed to get about 9-10 bites and landed a couple of them. The fish weighed about 4 pounds each and were a lot of fun. I was using a 9 wt. and a #6 gotcha.

That's great to know. I was looking at a Disney cruise for my grandkids and I always take along a fly rod any time I go anywhere on vacation. What fly patterns were you using?

Sounds like a winner to me!

I was using a sand colored #6 gotcha that had a small piece of metallic green.

I heard that Disney had those fish trained so that they would stay right there waiting for you and ready to jump on any fly tossed their way. Wouldn't put it past them.
