Many ramps blocked with snow and small craft warnings over the past few days have not made for ideal conditions.

heard there were some fish around the "A" bouy (a little W-NW of northern stellwagen) .Thinking of giving it a shot tomorrow. although the 6-9 ft seas and 15-20 knots of N wind they're forecasting are making it pretty iffy. Should have gone this afternoon, forecast was for 15-20 with gusts to 30 .from noon till dark I don't think the wind got above 10 knots.

The Scituate ramp is cleared and the fishing should be good in close on the ledges and out tword the "H" buoy. If we get a good day and I can free myself up from work, I will be heading out.

A couple good early season spots lie just outside Boston Harbor they always produced well for me. Between Graves Lighthouse & B Buoy, usually March all of April can produce well in these areas. Depths run from 60 - 110ft out to the bouy. Use small 12 oz. jigs with shrimp teasors, or the always faithful clam! The fish tend to be small so throw backs are common, but you will catch your limit. Have not been out yet but have gone there for the past 10 years its always my first season stop and it has not skunked me yet. There is a public ramp in Winthrop, not sure if its blocked. Head out around deer Island, to Graves Lighthouse. B Bouy lies dead east from Graves.

I guess I'm a bit of a wimp, but I'm going to wait until we start seeing some 40-50 degree days regularly.

Well thats only information.. to whomever is brave enough! For me my boat is still in wraps, Center Console is too cold & wet for that run this early. I'll wait till late March into April! The Cod will hang out and typically start to move further offshore around May.

Thanks for the info. I'm of the same mindset as you. Looking forward to more seasonable weather. Maybe I'll see you out there.
