I'm looking for a good GPS unit to use in my Whaler. A few family members say that because i wqill go out with my grandfather from time to time i may need one, but theyre just joking(i think). I want on with all of the toys(The capability so u can mark spots from previous trips, the dotted line thing that shows the pathu took so u can find your way back, fishfinder that also reads bottom structure, and a color screen. If such a thing exists can someone point mein the right direction?

Look up furuno, or sitex on the web. also check out ebay. The unit you described exists ,but it ain't gonna be cheap.the thing with the dotted line you follow back in, or return to a spot is called a chart plotter. good luck

I just bought the Garmin 182C with external antenna for $692 and no shipping charges. Shipped from Maryland, had it in 1 day. Ask for Jim, very nice guy.

Recently purchased a Lowrance LMS-335cdf Lowrance last summer that which will accept MCC and SD cards. Love it. Paid $680 for the Lowrance and got a Navionics Gold card that shows the entire New England coast in detail for another $177. Have used it to come in under fog right into the middle of the channel. Bigger color screen than the Garmin
