Westfield River

My son is at school in Westfield. We both like to flyfish. Can any one tell me where would be a good spot on the Westfield River to wet a line. Any smallmouth info would be a bonus.

Below the Chesterfield Gorge. Take Rt 9 west to Rt 146. Take that West until you cross the Westfield (about 15 minutes from Rt 9) Turn left immediately after you cross the river and in 1/4 mile there is a parking lot on your left. Park and walk down the abandoned road until you get to water level. You have about 7 miles of water that has its only access (with one exception) by that road. Go 40o yards and you'll be past where 90% of the fishermen fish.
