I'll be at the South River School Annual Camp Fair on Saturday, March 5 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm to promote my Reel Dream Kids' Fishing Camp. I'm very excited about this new venture as I've always enjoyed taking kids fishing. Each session will run from 12:30 - 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and will cover all aspects of fishing from bait to fly, lobsters and lobstering, coastal environment, boating safety, navigation,etc... and is open for kids ages 8 - 16. On Saturday, March 12 you will find me manning the Orvis booth at the World Fly Fishing Expo in Wilmington, MA. I'm particularly happy that Orvis will be represented at Wilmington this year. Last year's show was a great one and this year should be equally good.
Well, March has definitely come in like a lion and I'm hoping it goes out like a lamb. Looking forward to a great fishing season this year. My charters will get going mid-May and run through mid-October. Last spring, we had an incredible run of big bass during the week before and after Menorial Day. These fish were gorging on large mackerel. I'm already starting to book dates for the upcoming season so call early to reserve the best possible tides.
